I dagens signerade ledarartikel om Las Damas de Blanco på Kuba berättar jag att damerna i vitt blev gripna av polis när de försökte överlämna en skrivelse till inrikesministeriet. Nedan följer den engelska översättningen:

From: Ladies in White (wives and families of the 75 political prisoners from 2003)
Sr. Minister,
We direct ourselves to You to ask you to, via adequate channels, demand the immediate and unconditional liberation of the 55 prisoners still remaining in prison.
At the moment 27 are in severe conditions, still finding themselves outside their resident provinces for now five years. The majority suffer from diseases that are not treated in adequate ways because of the conditions in prison, as well as cruel and inhumane treatment.
We repeat to you our demand to free our political prisoners.
