60-talets hits: Redbone!

We were all wounded at Wounded Knee med Redbone från 1973 handlade om en massaker av den amerikanska urbefolkningen, Sioux-indianerna 1890. I Europa blev den en stor hit men i USA gick den inte upp på listorna. Istället bannlystes den från flera radiostationer i linje. Förträngning kallas väl det för. Redbone bildades 1968 i Los Angeles, Kalifornien av bröderna Patrick och Lolly Vasquez och de hade sköna, rätt funkiga hits som Maggie, The Witch Queen of New Orleans och Come and get your love.

They made us many promises but always broke their word
