Björn Suneson
I am sitting in a dark back alley in the little town
of Sutherland; it 9:30 pm, and I hear the noise of the
bar next door and the mournful whistles of the trains.
I have finally found an internet connection (weak) and
I am a little nervous, so today’s report will be
short.
The rain has arrived. It has now been raining for two
days and this is the first precipitation I have had
during the whole trip. Yesterday’s run was disrupted
since I got a late start and only ran 32 kilometers to
Lemoin. Today I hit a couple of real downpours (felt
great!) and I felt enormously strong; I managed to run
71 kilometers and hardly walked at all.
Perhaps I will have a little more complete report
tomorrow since I will be able to visit the library
here in Sutherland. Tomorrow’s run will be short, to
North Platte. There is a 60 percent chance of
thunderstorms and rain, according to the weather
report.
Keep on running!
