I söndags blev jag intervjuad av Wall Street Journal. Tyvärr tog de bara med att jag jobbar för NRK, men så här blev miniintervjun.
Sofia Hedström, a New York-based correspondent for the Norwegian TV company NRK, says her outfit is inspired by a blend of fairy-tale aesthetics and 1960s biker culture: Little Red Riding Hood grows up and joins a motorcycle gang.
She wears a vintage Italian wool cape over one of Schott’s “Perfecto” black leather biker jackets. Her black wool skirt is by DVF; her leather bag is by Chloé. To complete the look, she wears black wool tights and German lace-up hiking boots.
Sofia mostly shops at vintage stores—Amarcord (the Williamsburg one) being her favorite. She spends about a $100 a month on clothing.
For a fashion tip, Sofia recommends going on a shopping detox of at least one month. She recently went on a yearlong one. “It’s a great way to rediscover the stuff in one’s wardrobe,” she says.
